we are currently setting up a Control Plus System with a CtrlX Core as target PLC and I saw I have the option of setting up the DataSetAccess on either the CtrlX core or on an IPC (which we will have two of in the form of active panels). I tried first to set up the DataSetAccess on the CtrlX Core but can't find documentation for the required paths (DataSetFolderPath) for the core. As the filesystem is Linux based I was also wondering how to access the .dat files if we need to edit them, as the dialog for updating the current .dat files requires remote access via a file system (e.g. SMB).

If I overlooked the relevant documentation for this please point me there and otherwise please explain the options one has when deploying the DataSetAccess to CtrlX instead of an IPC.

Today, when we got to the machine in the morning, the TF6430 Serial-Communication license was expired, I just ran an Activate Configuration again.

I do not know if it had something to do with it, but after activating, there seems to be no license recognized on the PLC side.

Already tried several solutions like:

• Restarting all services related with the errors in the HMI

• Running Activate Configuration again

• Restarting the PLC itself

• Remove TMC file and rebuild the project after selecting it again

  
  
  

We have a very common problem here with error 5 "An attempt was made to work on an already closed socket."

This happens to us when changing the state of Unit.UnitStateReq OpconUnitState.DISABLED to OpconUnitState.OPERATIONAL.

Unfortunately, we don't know what could have affected it.

Please advise what has affected it or how to fix it.

If you try to log in with the default credentials, the system does not start up, and the previous screen reappears:

These are secondary Beckhoff CP3716 HMIs configured as "HMI mode". They do not have a UPS, but everything is configured according to the Engineering Guide with the write filter enabled.

The versions used are:

-CPS: v5.11.5

-TwinCAT v4024.60

-HMI v5.11.1.52

-Master Image v10.35

Why might this type of problem occur after a few months of use?

Is there anything else to consider regarding the panel configuration?

Our customer want to use the Nexeed Control Plus app on ctrlx core.But,I can not find the app or snap file in the ctrlx OS Store.How can I reach the file?

Issue

After installing TwinCAT Package Manager using a non-English Visual Studio the function to install device description files failes:

It results in this error:
The command "TwinCAT.ReloadDeviceDescriptions" is invalid.

We are waiting for an update from Beckhoff. Until then, you must

• either use the English language for Visual Studio / TcXaeShell

• or after executing the function in Control plus Studio / OES you must additionally execute the refreshing manually in the TwinCAT menu bar (TwinCAT > EtherCAT Devices > Reload Device Descriptions):
